There will be a promotion competition between the HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc (BD) standards at the IT Month expo in Taipei, which will run from December 1-9, with Toshiba scheduled to launch its IDE-interface HD DVD-ROM drive, the SD-H802A, and Sony releasing its new SATA-interface BD burner, the BWU-200S, according to industry sources in Taiwan.
